Is the printing included in the part of your service?
Printing your personalised information is included at no additional cost, for all of our products online. In addition, the following services are also included in our prices:
- A personalised design layout of your artwork
- Digital proofing of your artwork and subsequent edit requests
- Printing
- Hand assembly
- Envelopes with a silk lining and silver sealed stickers.
Can I print my invitation with multiple sets of wording?
You can supply us with 2 sets of wording and our designers will create 2 separate designs for you.
For example, you may wish to include your ceremony information on some invitations and not on the others.
You would still be charged for the total number of invites to get the cheapest unit price. This is a standard feature we refer to as ‘split artwork’, and its included on our site. When you personalise your wording information, you will be able to select this option and provide us with 2 sets of wording.
There is an additional cost of US$15.00 for the second set of artwork.
If you are needing 3 or more layouts created, you can email us through the wording files and the split artwork fee will be US$15.00 for each layout needed.
Do you print in languages other than English?
We can print your invitations in any language that you desire! This option of foreign language will be available in the ‘Personalise Wording & Information’ step when placing your order.
We do however charge a US$15.00 foreign language fee, and will require your entire foreign language wording to be supplied to our designers in a PDF file. This ensures that all foreign language and characters are 100% correct, as our designs may not have any prior knowledge or understanding of your content.
If you wish to have some of your invitations printed in English, and some in a foreign language, we will also have to charge a US$15.00 split artwork fee as our designers will then have to create two separate artworks and our printing team will have to create two different plates. Again, we will need both sets of wording and the quantity for each artwork.
When will my invitation be printed?
Only after you have made your 100% final approval will any of your items be printed!
Once you make your final approval, our production team will put your order into printing and production; our printing and production timeframe is between 4-6 business days.
Before your final approval has been made, you can make any design or quantity changes that you may require. After you make your final approval, and your order has been put into printing and production, we unfortunately CANNOT make any further changes to your order.
This also means that if you realise that you need to order some extra invitations after you’ve made your final approval, or after you’ve received your order, that unfortunately your additional invitations will need to be counted as a new order; and therefore will need to be placed through our website with a minimum order quantity of 20, or 50 for any custom foil invitation designs.
Can you print images on the invites?
We can print single colour images on all invites – such as monograms for example. On most of our invites we can also print colour images, but not on all.
If you have a specific invite in mind feel free to check in with our customer service team if its possible.
You can also check this for yourself on your selected invite by clicking on ‘personalise now’. On the first step of this process if the ‘custom theme colour’ option is shown, then you can assume we can print full colour images like photographs, for example - as a part of the background printing.
Can I have a map printed?
Maps can be printed on most of our invitations that DON’T have any pre-embossed or foiled elements. You may either send us a high quality (at least 300pi) image of your required map OR our designers can re-draw your map for you; however, this will incur a US$30.00 design fee for their time and effort.
Can I have my guests’ names printed onto my invitations?
We can print your guests’ names on selected invitations (all of our invitations note whether guest name printing is available or not) for US$0.60 per invitation.
We will need you to supply us with your guest list in the form of an Excel spreadsheet (our template is available to download from our website), and unfortunately to print any guest names we have to change our printing technique from thermographic (raised ink) to digital printing (flat ink). This is due to the printing process required for individual guest names.
If you opt for guest name printing, B Wedding will supply you with an extra 5% of your item quantity WITHOUT guest names, to use as spares. These invites will have all of your wording and information printed, with a blank space for you to handwrite guest names if so desired.
If you do not wish to pay to have your guests’ names printed, or do not want your wording to be printed with flat ink, you may request for our designers to leave you a space (or include a line) for you to then handwrite your guests’ names onto your invitations. This request is to be included in the ‘comments & instructions to designer’ section during our personalization steps.
Alternatively, you could proceed with a more economical option by having your guests’ names and addresses printed on the front of your envelopes for just US$0.40 per envelope.
Can I have addresses printed onto my envelopes?
Absolutely! We can print any of your guests’ names or addresses on our white envelopes for just US$0.40 per envelope.
We will need all of your guests’ names and addresses to be supplied to us in an Excel spreadsheet, in the exact same format as our downloadable template that is available on our website.
If you would also like us to print your senders’ address on the back of your invitation envelopes (incase anything gets lost in the mail), or on the front of your RSVP envelopes (to make it easier for your guests to send their replies back), we charge just US$0.20 per envelope. You will be prompted to select this option, and to supply your senders’ address, whilst proceeding through our personalization steps.
What printing processes do you use?
B Wedding Invitations Invitations utilise a wide variety of printing techniques, dependent on which invitation design you choose. Our most common printing processes used are thermographic, digital, and offset printing. We also now offer gold foil printing, for an additional cost, on particular invitation designs.
Thermographic printing is a technique that requires us to create metal plates of your wording and information; those plates are then coated in hot ink and used as a stamp to then melt the ink onto your invitations. This process leaves your invitations with an exquisite raised ink effect, which is available in black, dark grey, dark brown, wine red and Persian blue.
In contrast, digital printing does not require the use of metal plates and instead creates a flat and sharp finish. This technique allows for a wider range of colour choices compared to our thermographic ink.
If you are ever unsure of what printing techniques are used on your favorite invitation designs, simply select the ‘product info’ button under your chosen invite. There you will see the product size, type, paper and printing process.
Can you print on the back of the invitations?
Reverse printing in available on all accessory cards and particular invitations - depending on the paper used and any pre-applied elements.
An additional fee of US$0.40 is charged per invitation for double sided printing; and all invites will have to be printed through our digital printers (flat ink), as the heat used for thermography printing (raised ink) will potentially damage the reverse side of the card.
If you are unsure as to whether reverse printing is available on your chosen invitation, please don’t hesitate to contact our team with any enquiries!
What is Raised Ink/ Thermography printing?
Raised ink/ thermographic printing is a process in which we create plates that are coated with hot, thick ink and pressed onto the paper stock/invite. This gives the final product a luxurious feel and a raised finish. We have five different colours to choose from in this process, these colours are black, wine red, brown, grey and blue.
What is Digital printing?
Digital printing is a full colour printing process, a printing process that does require plates in order to print onto the medium (the paper on our invites.) so the result is a flat effect on the paper.
It results in a glossier finish and it also allows us to print in a huge variety of colours in comparison with our thermographic process.
Can you foil invitations?
We can foil either the bride and groom names or full text on the majority of our invites.
To foil the couple’s names, the additional cost is US$1.55 per invite. Alternatively, to foil the entire text on the invitation – the cost would be US$2.30.
You can choose from a range of foil colour options such as yellow gold or rose gold, copper or silver foil. It is however important to note that there is a minimum quantity to order with foiling, which is 50 items.
